Foxtrot FAQs:
Foxtrot prioritizes safety and innovation, helping customers move heavy equipment easily and efficiently. Motorized robotic dollies help rearrange, organize, and transport machinery and other heavy, large objects throughout industrial facilities.
No. Foxtrot’s robotic dollies have a low profile to keep loads close to the ground. Because the load sits directly over the dolly, a large amount of traction is created for secure movement. Each wheel is driven independently, so the robot can drive over cracks more than 1 in. wide and roll over plates up to .25 in. high. What’s more, the wheels are custom-designed to provide high load capacity and traction without leaving marks on the ground.
Servomotors keep loads in place when stopped. When fully loaded, the robots can climb slopes up to 5%, though it is recommended to secure loads with chains on any slope.
Using three support points is actually safer than four because it ensures that there is always weight on each support point. Configurations with four support points have caused many rollovers, similar to what happens to unleveled chair legs.
The industrial remote control maintains a secure communication between the robot and the emergency stop, and has a maximum range of 1,640 ft (500 m).
The battery level is indicated on the controller’s display. If the battery runs out, the side-access door on the dolly allows you to replace the battery, even under load.
