Rockford, IL – April 13, 2026 – Moving heavy industrial equipment has always required multiple vendors to provide a single solution. Lifting it requires one set of tools. Sliding it into position requires another. Navigating it through a confined space requires something else entirely. For project teams in energy, manufacturing, mining, infrastructure, and construction, that has traditionally required coordinating multiple suppliers, multiple crews, and the logistical complexity that comes with doing so.
Hydraulic Technologies ("HT") is taking a significant step toward simplifying that equation.
Today, the company announced the formation of its Heavy Lift Solutions segment, bringing together Power Team's high-pressure hydraulic systems, Hydra-Slide's precision skidding and load-moving equipment, and Foxtrot's motorized robotic transport technology under a single coordinated platform. The combination addresses the three core dimensions of a heavy-load operation — vertical lift, horizontal movement, and free-range positioning — from one source, backed by Hydraulic Technologies' global distribution and service network.
Each capability addresses a distinct part of the logistical challenge of moving heavy industrial equipment. Power Team delivers synchronized, multi-point hydraulic lifting with millimeter-level precision, with systems ranging from field-portable hand pump setups to 48-point Motion Control Systems capable of raising loads of thousands of tons. Hydra-Slide's hydraulic skidding systems handle horizontal load movement for loads up to 1,000 tons, with low-profile designs engineered for environments where overhead clearance limits other options. Foxtrot's motorized robotic dollies provide omnidirectional movement through tight industrial spaces — remote-controlled, requiring no track installation, and operable by a single technician — for loads ranging from 10 to 60 tons.
Brad Sterner, CEO of Hydraulic Technologies, said:
"The formation of our Heavy Lift Solutions segment represents an important milestone in our growth strategy. By combining the hydraulic strength of Power Team, the load-moving expertise of Hydra-Slide, and Foxtrot's innovative robotic technologies, we are delivering a powerful set of solutions to help customers move heavy equipment more safely, efficiently, and precisely."
The segment reflects Hydraulic Technologies' continued investment in expanding its capabilities across the heavy-load handling space. Customers working on complex lifting and positioning projects in energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, mining, and construction will have access to an integrated portfolio — whether the challenge is weight, access, overhead clearance, or floor space — supported by a single point of contact and a global service network.
Supporting the launch, Hydraulic Technologies is introducing the Synchronous Hydraulic Power Unit (SHPU Series), the segment's first new product. The SHPU Series delivers precise, synchronized hydraulic power across multiple independent lift points simultaneously — purpose-built for the complex, multi-point operations that define the segment's core capabilities.
