4-Point Synchronous Hydraulic Lifting System for Ball Mill Installation up to 2000 Tons
Overview
Ball mill installation and maintenance require precise, synchronized lifting of extremely heavy rotating shells. A 4-point synchronous hydraulic lifting system provides controlled lifting and lowering while maintaining positional accuracy and safety for large-scale mining and cement applications.
The Challenge
The customer experienced uneven lifting, positional deviation, and safety risks when handling extremely heavy rotating shells. Maintaining synchronization across multiple lifting points is critical to avoid structural stress and ensure safe installation.
Solution Presented
Hydraulic Technologies supplied a 4-point synchronous lifting system consisting of four 500T/1000T double-acting cylinders and a PLC-controlled pump station using Pump 60233E. The PLC controller enables synchronized control, data logging, and precise point-to-point lifting accuracy. Integrated pressure sensors monitor lifting pressure in each circuit to support safe operation.
Results
The synchronous lifting system delivered reliable, precise lifting and lowering of ball mill shells with point-to-point accuracy of ±1 mm. The PLC-controlled Pump 60233E enabled synchronized movement, improved safety monitoring, and efficient installation and maintenance operations for loads up to 2000 tons.
