Overview

Casting mold removal operations require controlled, level lifting to prevent mold damage and ensure safe separation of heavy cast components. Traditional steel wire rope lifting makes leveling difficult and increases the risk of damage. A Power Team hydraulic lifting solution delivers a stable, controlled force for safer and more efficient mold removal.

The Challenge

Lifting the molds with steel wire ropes made leveling extremely difficult, which greatly increases the difficulty and frequently caused damage to casting molds.
 
Unstable lifting and poor leveling control resulted in uneven force distribution and high risk of mold damage. A safer, more controllable lifting method was required for the mold removal process.

Solution Presented

Hydraulic Technologies supplied a Power Team hydraulic solution consisting of four RD257 cylinders and one customized hydraulic pump station. The pump station operates at 70 MPa with a 0.2l/min flow rate per cylinder, providing stable lifting capacity to support controlled and safe casting demolding. 

Results

The Power Team hydraulic demolding solution delivered stable and level lifting, significantly reducing demolding difficulty and minimizing mold damage. Controlled hydraulic force improved safety and reliability throughout the demolding process
