The Challenge

The customer required a set of tools capable of providing uniform force distribution, high precision, and large output force during plate heat exchanger installation, without generating instantaneous impact forces.
 
Conventional tightening methods can introduce uneven loading and impact forces, increasing the risk of gasket damage, plate distortion, and leakage in plate heat exchangers.

Solution Presented

Hydraulic Technologies supplied Bolting Systems' tools including four units of RH606 and PE462-50-220. The solution delivered a controlled, high-precision hydraulic force with uniform distribution across the bolting pattern, while eliminating instantaneous impact during installation. 

Results

The hydraulic installation solution enables controlled and uniform bolt loading for the plate heat exchanger. By using RH606 and PE462-50-220 tools, the customer achieved improved installation precision, reduced risk of component damage, and reliable assembly quality.
