Overview

The Challenge
The customer required a portable tire changer designed for service truck applications. A full-function hydraulic power unit was needed to support all tire changing actions reliably.
Limited space on service trucks and the need for dependable hydraulic performance made it difficult to use conventional power units. The system needed to be compact while still providing sufficient pressure and flow for tire changes.
Solution Presented
Hydraulic Technologies supplied a Stone hydraulic power unit, model UD-C035 48VDC. The unit features a 2.0 kW motor and a 3.2 cc gear pump, operating at up to 20 MPa, providing the hydraulic power required to support portable tire changing operations.
